The Archaeological Museum of Chania
Depart the pier on foot and enjoy a nice walk along the marina towards the Archaeological Museum of Chania which is located in the historical center of the city. Since 1963 it has been housed in the church of the Venetian Monastery of St Francis which once belonged to the Franciscan monks. The exhibits illustrate the cultural history and character of the area through the ages, from the Neolithic period to the Roman era.
