Depart the pier for the short drive to Calamosca, a beautiful beach located on the western-side of the Capo Sant'Elia, or Sella del Diavolo (Devil's Saddle), promontory. Upon arrival, fresh air, sunshine, exquisite scenery, and a healthy dose of exercise set the stage for your approximately one-hour guided hiking trek through a Mediterranean full of juniper, wild olive and mastic trees, and intimate coves and beaches. Your picturesque hiking trek leads to the Devil's Saddle, a stunning natural peak nestled in the Gulf of Cagliari and just minutes from the city centre.

During your hike to this magnificent limestone promontory, marvel at the many breath-taking panoramic views of your surrounds. Included are the Cagliari Gulf, Mediterranean Sea, Molentargius Lagoon, home to flamingos, cormorants, ducks, and herons, and beautiful, approximately five-mile-long (about eight-kilometre-long) Poetto Beach, among the best city beaches on the Mediterranean. In addition, observe elements of great natural, archaeological, and historical interest. Following your hike, re-board your coach and proceed for a refreshment stop at a local café. Afterward, re-board your coach and commence the short drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of hiking for approximately 2.5 miles (about four kilometres), at times over uneven, rough, natural, and slippery surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. This tour is recommended for active guests in good physical condition. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with back and/or neck problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests with a fear of heights, guests with pollen and/or plant allergies, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, sturdy, and closed-toe shoes (hiking shoes or sport shoes with good grip), and bring sun protection, insect repellent, raingear, bottled water, and Euros or credit cards for purchases from the ship. Guests must be at least 14 years old to participate on this tour; minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years old. Guests must be at least 18 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. Restroom facilities are not available during the hiking portion of this tour. This tour is not available during the hottest or rainy seasons. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions. The tour sequence may vary.
