Depart from the pier on a short boat ride to a charming motu during a short guided tour. Under the fare pote'e, the passionate team will reveal the secrets of the black pearl and the unique know-how of Polynesian pearl farming.
Dive and Snorkel for Black Pearls
After a brief demonstration, put on your fins, mask and snorkel 1-2 meters below surface to explore the crystal clear waters of Bora Bora. Admire the strings of pearl oysters and choose the one that will become your treasure. With a little luck, graceful rays could join the adventure!
Motu, Refreshments, Pearl Harvest
After diving for a pearl, relax back on the motu and enjoy refreshments of fresh fruit and cold drinks, while enjoying the sweet melodies of the ukulele. Watch with wonder the harvest of your pearl, a step rich in emotions where every detail of the procedure will be explained to you. Depending on your luck, leave with your precious pearl, carefully preserved in a bottle filled with white sand from Bora Bora or an exclusive velvet pouch.
At the end of the tour, you will rejoin the boat to transfer back to the pier.

Please note: This tour requires a moderate amount of walking; however, guests must be physically fit, able to swim and able to manoeuvre in and out of the boat using a two-step ladder. It is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or those who utilise a wheelchair. Guests participating must able to swim in open water. Guests wanting to participate on selecting a black pearl oyster must be comfortable 1-2 meters under water. Guests are not required to dive for pearls if they do not choose to. Black Pearl is not guaranteed. Guests are advised to wear a swimsuit under a cover-up with non-slip, rubber-soled shoes or aqua shoes, and bring a towel, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, bottled water and underwater camera from the ship. Snorkels and masks are available for guest use; however, we recommend you bring your own equipment. As with all creatures in their natural environment, we cannot guarantee the presence of fish and animals.
