Embark from the pier and board your coach for the 15-minute drive to Keriolet Castle, built in the 13th century and transformed in the 19th century into a true architectural jewel at the request of the Russian Imperial Princess Zénaïde Narisckine (aunt of Tsar Nicolas II) and her husband the Count Charles de Chauveau. Learn about the destinies of this royal couple, he 30 years her junior and a commoner whose nobility was purchased by his wife. Listen as your guide shares tales about other interesting owners of the castle, too. See the unique neo-Gothic architecture fairytale-like, complete with storybook towers, gargoyles, and flamboyant Gothic windows. Then enjoy some free time to roam the Castle gardens.
