Half of its nearly 97,850 acres are completely covered by dense forests featuring alerces (Chilean redwood trees) and other varieties of typical evergreen forest, such as the coigue and the manio. Embark on an invigorating hike through the beautiful forests of Patagonia as you learn about the flora and fauna of the region, such as the fascinating mighty Alerce tree, which can reach heights of over 160 feet and live for more than 4,000 years. Soak in this natural wonder before heading back to the park entrance following the same rugged paths. Sit back and relax after your trek with a well-deserved boxed lunch before driving back to Puerto Montt.
