MSC, Mediterranean Shipping Company, was founded in 1970 with a fleet composed of three cargo ships bought buy Gianluigi Aponte, a mariner, former bank cashier, who decided to buy his first ship. The Flagship of the fleet is MSC Meraviglia, triumph of splendor, elegance and entertainment, launched in 2017. MSC Cruises has in project to inaugurate 3 new ships: MSC Bellissima, MSC Seaview and MSC Seaside, currently under construction.
