Musa, Museu da Amazônia
Created in January 2009, Musa occupies 100 hectares of the Adolpho Ducke Forest Reserve, of the National Institute for Research in the Amazon in Manaus. It is located in a native area of "Terra Firme" forest, which has been studied with passion for over 60 years. Since then, the lush Botanical Gardens have remained a haven of peace and tranquility amid the growing metropolis of Manaus that surround it.
Rainforest Walk with a Biologist
On arrival, follow your guide and a local biologist on a leisurely walk through the trails of the Botanical Gardens; take this opportunity to discover the large variety of plants, flowers as well as the magnificent foliage of the Amazon.
Bird Watching Tower
The reserve is also home to numerous species of birds and monkeys that roam the trees.
A 42 meter tower allows you to enjoy a magnificent view over the forest canopy.
Amazon Cocktail and Recital
Back to the ground; toast your host with a glass of caipirinha or a glass of regional fruit juice in the middle of the Musa jungle, while listening to the sounds of the forest played by a famous local musical group.
At the end of this unique experience, return to your vehicle for your drive back to the ship.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive walk of approximately 1,500 meters over uneven terrain, mud and tree roots over the trail and visitors must remain standing throughout the visit. Guests wishing to climb the birdwatching tower must climb 242 steps. This tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility and wheelchair users. The concert and cocktail will take place on the ground and outdoors, with no seating. Guests are advised to wear raincoats and light, comfortable clothing. It is mandatory to wear closed shoes such as sneakers or hiking boots, and if you wish, you should bring sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat and sunglasses. Make sure you have some US Dolars or Reais in case you want to make purchases at the museum, as the credit card system hardly works.
