This extensive facility contained dormitories, living quarters, kitchens, medical stations, workshops, a communications center, and a network of command bunkers. At its core, the fortress was armed with heavy German artillery, including a formidable triple-barrelled cannon capable of firing three shells from each barrel simultaneously.

Your tour continues at the North Sea Traffic Museum, where you’ll hear powerful stories of Bergen's wartime experience and learn about the brave members of the Norwegian Resistance who maintained communication with Allied forces in Scotland, coordinating vital supply drops to aid in the fight for freedom.

A light lunch of traditional Bergen Fish Soup will be served on this tour.

Please note: This tour is not suitable for guests with mobility difficulties. The tour starts on foot with a visit to the fortress. Uneven terrain and cobbled stones are to be negotiated with at this location. In addition, one flight of stairs at the Gestapo Museum. Tour may operate in reserve order.
