Excursion Bonaire eco & landsailing adventure tour at Kralendijk

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Land sailing on Bonaire is an easy and exhilarating sport suitable for most guests. If you have some sailing experience, you'll pick it up in minutes—it's similar to water sailing but even simpler and faster. Using the power of the wind, you’ll propel yourself across a dedicated track, making this activity not only fun but also environmentally friendly and sustainable. With safety as a top priority, participants are guided through instructions, and following common sense ensures a safe, memorable experience amid Bonaire’s breezy outdoors.

Adventure & Scenic Highlights

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive to the island’s northern region, where you'll explore the dry-forest ecosystem of the central plateau and learn about Tanki Maraka, a WWII site that once protected vital fuel reserves. The highlight is at the Blokart Landsailing Center, where you’ll take control of a sleek, three-wheeled land yacht. Feel the Caribbean trade winds as you glide around a purpose-built track—an experience suitable for ages 8 and up (children 3–8 may ride tandem with an adult). Afterward, pass through North Salina, home to flamingos, and continue along the colorful waterfront of Kralendijk, soaking in the island’s Dutch-Caribbean charm.

Each guest receives a commemorative water bottle, professional photographs, and an expertly edited landsailing video—perfect keepsakes of your Bonaire adventure. To ensure safety and comfort, wear sun-smart clothing, comfortable flat shoes, sunscreen, and sunglasses. The tour order and activities may be adjusted based on weather and local conditions. Children under 8 can participate if accompanied by an adult in a double land yacht, with two such boats available.
