Excursion Chateau vaudois: vineyard visit, tasting & pic nic tour at Cannes

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Experience an unforgettable tour, tasting and picnic at a renowned Provencal vineyard during this picturesque, full-day sightseeing excursion.

Le Lavandou, Roquebrune sur Agens, Château Vaudois

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 1.5-hour drive to Roquebrune sur Agens, and a visit to Château Vaudois. The Mecca of Provencal vineyards, Château Vaudois is an approximately 197-acre (about 80-hectare) estate, with approximately 44 acres (about 18 hectares) of vines dedicated to the production of elegant and refined wines. An old sleeping wine estate, it was purchased in 1988 by a local family who gave new life to a vineyard steeped in history.

Hillside Location, Mediterranean Views

Located on the hills of the moors between Saint Raphael and Saint Tropez, Château Vaudois benefits from an exceptional terroir and site, which features an exquisite view of the Mediterranean Sea. The choice of grape varieties was made by utilising the characteristics of the soil to create atypical wines in Côtes de Provence and Vin de Pays des Maures. Today, Château Vaudois opens its doors to share its culture, wine heritage and passion for winemaking with you in a uniquely memorable way.

Private Vineyard Tour, Cellars, Wine Storehouses, Wine Tastings, Picnic Lunch

Upon arrival, take a private tour of the vineyard, cellar, and wine storehouses, and learn about the winemaking techniques employed here. Following your tour, proceed for a presentation of the estate's wines and appellations, followed by a tasting of three wines (red, white, and rose). Afterward, enjoy a picnic lunch in the vineyard, in a bucolic and relaxed setting. The space is laid out with wooden tables in the heart of a patio with trees. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 1.5-hour drive back to the pier.
