Upon arrival, join an agronomic engineer for a short video presentation, followed by a walking tour of Kona Coffee Joe, the first trellised coffee farm in the world. Coffee Processing, Roasting & Packaging, Roasting Your Own Coffee

Next, observe the processes by which coffee beans are processed, roasted, and packaged, and have your coffee questions answered. This comprehensive coffee experience also features a unique twist; helping you become a roast-master during the coffee-roasting portion of the tour. Roast approximately 10 ounces (about 283 grams) of coffee to your personal taste utilising a small-version artisanal, Italian-designed drum roaster. Whether you prefer a medium-light roast that finesses out the delicate notes or a deep, dark roast bursting with bold flavour, you can control the time, temperature, drum speed, and air flow to roast your coffee exactly the way you like it. After roasting, your coffee is packaged for you to take home as a gift.

Finally, proceed to the breezy, sun-kissed lanai. Here, relax and enjoy a cup of delectable Kona Joe coffee served with a selection of the farm's almost equally-famous chocolate delicacies. Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking and standing for approximately 333 yards (about 304 metres), at times over uneven and natural surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and at least 10 steps at Kona Joe Coffee. Walking at Kona Joe Coffee is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, bottled water, and US Dollars or credit cards for purchases from the ship. Guests must be at least 16 years old to participate on this tour; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years old. Guests must be at least 21 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. Must be 16 years and older to participate in roasting tour segment.
