Excursion Dravuni island life & village experience tour at Kadavu

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Step into the heart of traditional Fiji with an immersive visit to the charming village of Dravuni.

Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly greeted with a flower lei and a refreshing green coconut drink before taking part in a customary Fijian welcome ceremony - a meaningful introduction to the island’s deep cultural roots. As you stroll through the village, friendly locals will guide you through a series of interactive stations showcasing daily life on the island, from traditional weaving demonstrations to coconut-husking and displays of historic village practices.

Your journey continues with the highlight of the experience: a tasting of lovo, Fiji’s famous earth-oven cooked cuisine. Sample tender meats, root vegetables, and fresh island flavors prepared in the traditional style. Afterward, enjoy some relaxed free time to explore at your leisure - whether you prefer a gentle swim in crystal-clear waters, a scenic hike up the island’s hilltop for panoramic views, or simply unwinding beneath the palms on the pristine white-sand beach.

Dravuni offers no commercial distractions - no restaurants, no Wi-Fi, no noise - just pure island charm, remarkable hospitality, and an authentic glimpse into Fijian life. It’s an experience that will stay with you long after the farewell song “Isa Lei” escorts you back to the ship.
