Excursion Dune bashing adventure tour at Doha

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Depart the port in a comfortable 4-wheel drive vehicle and proceed on a 45-minute drive south through the towns of Al Wakrah and Umm Sa'id to the Sealine Beach Resort. Here, deflating the tires of your vehicle will get you ready for the exciting desert adventure ahead.

After a briefing by the Safari Coordinator you are off to a fun and exhilarating ride, known as dune bashing. The experienced driver will shoot up steep sand dunes, skirt edges of sheer drop-offs and slide down seemingly vertical mountains of sand. The experience can best be likened to that of a roller coaster ride. During photo stops you can enjoy the stunning desert vistas, while additional commentary will be provided by the Safari Coordinator. Your destination is the Inland Sea, a huge inlet surrounded by giant rolling sand dunes, known as Qatar's most impressive natural feature. At a Bedouin campsite, you will have the use of chemical toilet facilities.

Leaving the Inland Sea area, begin the return drive, stopping once more at the edge of the desert to re-inflate the tires for the final stretch back to Doha, concluding your adventurous quest into the desert at the port.
