Montevideo, Canelón Chico Region, Pizzorno Winery

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 45-minute drive northwest to the Pizzorno Winery, located in the Canelón Chico region, close to the Rio de la Plata. The winery retains the same, early-20th-century architecture due to the advantages it offers to wine conservation. The Pizzorno Family is the fourth generation to continue operation of this winery with the same love and respect for nature that started over century ago.

Interactive Cooking Workshop, Vineyards

Today, Carlos upholds the same love and respect for nature, and carries on a family legacy that hasn't lost a single element of their fine winemaking traditions. Rather, the Pizzorno’s have adapted to modern times by employing the most advanced techniques in cultivating their vines and constantly vying for enologist excellence in wine production. Upon arrival, proceed to the interactive cooking workshop, which is conducted in front of the vineyards.

Preparation of Local Specialities, Tasting of Six Wines

During your interactive cooking class, learn to prepare empanadas baked in a wood-fired oven, along with dulce de leche alfajores, whilst enjoying a tasting of six of their wines. Following your cooking class, enjoy the Uruguayan specialities you have helped to prepare. At the conclusion of your tour, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 45-minute drive back to the pier.
