Along the way, it's easy to see why Montblanc is one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Catalonia. Poblet Monastery, Guided Walking Tour, Cistercian Art

Next, re-board your coach and head for a guided tour of the Poblet Monastery, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located in the region of Conca de Barbera in a beautiful setting, this Cistercian abbey is among the largest monasteries in Spain and most important of its kind in Europe. The Poblet Monastery was built in the 12th century, though its era of grandeur peaked in the 14th century. It was then abandoned, but, beginning in 1940, some monks resumed living there. In addition to the magnificent church, see prominent examples of Cistercian art. Your tour concludes with an approximately 50-minute drive back to the pier.
