At the outdoor aquarium pool, meet the awe-inspiring King Crabs that can grow to 15 pounds in these waters. You might even get the chance to hold one and snap some photos.

Shifting focus to the photo gallery at North Cape Experience Centre, peruse the work of award-winning photographer Frits Solvang, documenting the look of 20th-century life in Skarsvåg. The gallery also showcases traditional fishing artifacts once used by local fishermen. After this brief stop, it’s time to warm up at a local restaurant as you sip a hot drink and taste the Arctic – sampling flavors such as King Crab, reindeer, caviar, or salmon, depending on the season and recent catch.
