Depart the pier for the short drive to Newans Station. Upon arrival, head to the Jetty Visitor Centre. Upon arrival, meet your driver/guide and board a mini-bus for the short drive to nearby Newans Farm. Here, meet your 4X4 drivers, who take you on a narrated, off-road adventure to the nearby gentoo penguins. En route, take in spectacular panoramic views of the coast and Atlantic Ocean whilst learning about life in the Falklands.

Upon arrival at the gentoo penguin colony, enjoy splendid views and photo opportunities of the approximately 200 pairs of breeding gentoo penguins in their natural habitat. In addition, look for the seals, seabirds, and other wildlife that inhabit this area. Basic facilities at this scenic site include a covered shelter area and restrooms. Following your tour, proceed for a refreshment stop at Joe's Gentoo Cabin. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your 4X4 vehicle for the off-road drive back to Newans Farm, then take the mini-bus back to Newans Station. Afterward, re-board your coach and commence the short drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of off-road driving and a moderate amount of walking, at times over uneven, peaty, moorland, sandy, and pebbled surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off coach, mini-bus, and 4X4 vehicle, and at Joe's Gentoo Cabin. The ride may be rough at times, and guests will experience bumpy, jerking motions. This tour is recommended for guests who are in good physical condition. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with neck/back problems, guests with heart/respiratory conditions, guests prone to motion sickness, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear warm, comfortable clothing in layers they won't mind getting dirty, including long pants and long-sleeve shirts with flat, sturdy, and closed-toe walking or hiking shoes, and bring sun protection, insect repellent, a weatherproof jacket, bottled water, and US Dollars, Canadian Dollars, Euros, or credit cards for purchases from the ship; open-toed shoes or high heels are not permitted on this tour. Guests must be at least three years old to participate on this tour; guests under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years old.
