Excursion Glacier walk and ice cave tour tour at Tasiilaq

This tour includes a glacier hike and a visit to a stunning ice cave hidden on a remote East Greenland island. The 5-hour trip begins with a boat ride showcasing beautiful fjords, mountains, icebergs, and Greenland's wildlife. After the boat ride, your guide equips you with safety gear, including helmets and crampons, for the glacier hike. During the 30–40-minute ascent, you'll admire breathtaking glacier views and explore features like moulins and crevasses.

The tour's highlight, the ice cave, offers ample time to immerse yourself in its captivating blue world. You'll appreciate the glacier's unique shapes and hues. Due to its remote location, you'll be among fewer than 400 visitors to this glacier.

Please note: Guests participating on this tour should be physically fit. An extensive amount of walking for approximately 3 hours over evening, snowy terrain.  Guests must be able to hike up inclines for a prolonged period, with few breaks and must have a good balance. A 60-minute boat ride to reach the glacier and ice cave. The boat(s) are local and rustic, with only partial protection from the elements. Note there are no toilet facilities in the local boats or on the island. Boats, guides, equipment, and services are the best-available but may not be up to the standards of those found on other excursions therefore, we urge flexibility and understanding as we visit unique and remote destinations. Dress in layers with sturdy, closed toe walking shoes/boots, and bring sun protection, weatherproof jacket, hat, scarf, backpack and water. Helmets and crampons for the glacier hike are being provided.
