Excursion Lagoon cruise & beach break tour at Aitutaki

Aitutaki’s deep blue lagoon is considered one of the most beautiful lagoons in the world. A short cruise carries guests across the lagoon to pristine sandbars, where it is possible to stand in shallow, crystal-clear water and hand-feed schools of colorful tropical fish. This first snorkeling stop also offers the opportunity to observe impressive giant clams up close.

Leaving the sandbar, the cruise continues to One-Foot Island, where light refreshments are served. Time is available to wander along the island’s white-sand beaches and explore nearby motus (islets), home to nesting tavake (red-tailed tropical birds).

Please note: This tour involves a moderate level of activity and walking, including some steps. It is recommended for guests who are able to swim and are in good physical condition. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with neck and/or back problems, heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests prone to seasickness, or those with limited mobility. Time ashore on One-Foot Island is at each guest’s discretion. Snorkeling equipment is not provided locally; however, the Expedition Team will supply snorkeling gear for guests to bring ashore from the ship. There are no changing facilities available on the boat. Guests are advised to wear a swimsuit under a cover-up with beach or water shoes, and to bring sun protection, a towel, and bottled water from the ship. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions.
