Depart the pier for a scenic, approximately 30-minute drive across the Golden Gate Bridge en route to the Marine Mammal Centre in Sausalito. The Marine Mammal Centre leads the field in ocean conservation through marine mammal rescue, veterinary science, and education. Sick and injured animals are rescued, treated, and rehabilitated at these state-of-the-art veterinary facilities, where patients are cared for until they can be released back to their ocean home.

Upon arrival, begin your approximately 45-minute guided tour of the Marine Mammal Centre's exhibits and viewing areas. View and learn about the different types of seals, sea lions, and walruses whilst your guide shares insights into the work of the Centre, stories about its seal and sea lion 'patients', and the tried-and-true recipes volunteers use to nurse these animals back to health. In addition, explore the innovative techniques and technologies utilised at the Marine Mammal Centre, and how we can all play a part in protecting ocean life.

Downtown Sausalito, Free Time, Shopping

Following your tour, re-board your coach for the short drive to downtown Sausalito. Upon arrival, some free time is made available for a bit of shopping and independent exploration in this lovely seaside village, or a stop at one of its many charming cafés or restaurants at your own expense. At the conclusion of your tour, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 45-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 167 yards (about 153 metres), at times over uneven surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and a flight of stairs at the Marine Mammal Centre. Walking in Sausalito is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, a sweater or light jacket, bottled water, and US Dollars or credit cards for purchases from the ship. Guests must be at least two years old to participate on this tour; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years old. Guests must be at least 21 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. The tour sequence may vary.
