In rare cases when the minimum number of participants is not met, Silversea reserves the right to offer the program at an increased rate based on private arrangements or to cancel your specific departure for a refund. The self-cancellation fee, unless otherwise advised, is 90 days or sooner to initial sailing date at the rate of 100% program fare per person. The payment for your Land Adventure is due in full on the same date as your final payment due for your cruise. Per Silversea's general payment terms, bookings made within 120 days of sailing require full payment within seven days of booking or sooner.

All Land Adventures are non-transferable and non-refundable within 120 days of sailing, with the exception of cancellation by Silversea. Our family-friendly land programs require adult accompaniment of any guests under the age of 18. VISA INFORMATION:

Cambodian and Viet Nam visas are included and will be issued upon arrival at Siem Reap and Ho Chi Minh Airport. Guests will need to bring two passport-sized photos (2"X2") with them. Passports must be valid for 6 months following the date of your entry into both Cambodia & Vietnam. Guests must have 2 blank pages for local visas.

LOCAL CURRENCY:

The local currency is the Cambodian Riel; however, US Dollars are well-accepted by most vendors; local ATMs are available in some locations visited, and credit cards are accepted in most larger shops and hotels (there is no shopping stop planned during the program).

Once the capital of the Khmer Empire from 800 AD to approximately 1200, Angkor spreads out over an area of about 40 miles (63 km). The city and its famous temples were abandoned in the early 15th century and remained unknown to the outside world until 1860, when a French botanist stumbled upon them in the jungle overgrowth. Today, travellers flock to Angkor to see this spectacular temple city, rated among the world's premier architectural sites and since 1992 on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Your Mid-Voyage Land Adventure begins with an exploration of Cham civilization and the city of Da Nang before you travel to Cambodia to explore Angkor Wat.

DAY ONE - Chan May/Da Nang/ Hoi An/Siem Reap

Depart the ship immediately after arrival and begin your day with the hour's drive to Da Nang, Vietnam's third largest city. It was on Da Nang's coast where the first U.S. troops landed on March 8, 1965. Despite its war-torn history, Da Nang is one of the most progressive cities in Vietnam. Among its highlights is the renowned Cham Museum, housing close to 300 Cham sculptures. Arriving at the Cham Museum, stroll through its outdoor exhibits of sandstone sculptures and temple decorations created between the 4th and 14th centuries by the Cham people. The displays are grouped into four time periods, and named after the regions in which the sculptures were discovered. Your guide, well-versed in Cham history provides a comprehensive explanation of these relics.

Continue to Hoi An ancient town, a pretty river town that has earned a UNESCO World Heritage Site designation. Your walking tour begins along its colourful streets, which have remained largely unchanged for centuries before you enter the Hoi An Museum. Housed in a traditional merchant's house, this museum is known for its fine collection of objects relating to the town's heyday as an important trading port.

Next, visit the Phuoc Kien Temple, a structure built in honour of Thien Hau, the Goddess of the Sea. Perhaps one of the most intriguing and beautiful of Hoi An's sights is the Japanese covered bridge. Built in 1593 over stream, it is a wonderful amalgamation of Chinese, Vietnamese, and Japanese architectural characteristics. Appropriately, it connects Hoi An's Japanese and Chinese districts. At the centre of the bridge stands a small temple.

Following lunch at a local restaurant, return to the town and its busy streets to do some shopping in the lively open-air market before going to Da nang International airport taking flight to Siem Reap by VN3829 DAD-REP at 1810-2015.

Upon arrival at Siem Reap airport from, hand passports with one photo to get Cambodian visa. Pick up and transfer to hotel for check in and have time to relax and freshen up before have dinner at hotel's restaurant. Overnight accommodation is at the Sokha Angkor Hotel - Siem Reap.

DAY TWO - Siem Reap/Angkor Wat

After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to Angkor Wat temple, the most famous of the Angkor sites and the largest Buddhist monument ever built. It spans an area of 500 acres (202 hectares), and is surrounded by a 660-foot-wide (201-meter-wide) moat. The construction required some 385,000 workers and 40,000 elephants over a 35-year period. The site remained covered by dense jungle growth until the late-19^th century, when French archaeologists began a long restoration process. While some sections are still in ruins, others are used for worship and are occupied by Buddhist monks.

Entrance to this majestic and vast complex is via a long causeway across the moat. Then begin your exploration with a guided walking tour through corridors and courtyards. The walls are covered with bas-reliefs featuring battle scenes, dancing deities and visions of punishment in hell and rewards in paradise. The temple's central building is three stories high and accessible via a steep staircase (only recommended for very fit and agile guests).

Drive Aulaok Village, that village there will be the one place you can see workshop hand making such as themes carving, weaving by the villager and in the same time visiting the one of the temple call Preah Ko (Sacred Bull) derives its name from the three statues of sandstone located in the front of and facing the temple's central towers. These statues represent Nandi, the w hite bull who serves as the mount of Shiva.

Drive to Tara Angkor Hotel for lunch. Then proceed to Angkor Thom.

Angkor Thom, the former capital of the Khmer Empire. King Jayavarman VII established Angkor Thom in the late-12th century. It spans 3.5 square miles (90.65 square km), and features 25-foot-high (7.6-metres-high) gates at each of the cardinal points.

After entering via the narrow South Gate, continue to Angkor Thom's most significant sites, including Bayon, a temple known for its 49 towers and a terrace full of colossal heads with smiling faces. The stunning architecture and unusual décor makes Bayon one of the most visited sites at Angkor Thom. Other highlights include the Terrace of Elephants and the Leper King, representing one of Angkor's many mysteries. After visiting Angkor Thom continue to the Ta Prohm Temple, famous for its forest atmosphere and enormous fig trees. This temple looks just as it did when the first European explorers arrived. It is also the location of many scenes filmed for the blockbuster movie, Tomb Raider.

As the day concludes, drive back to the hotel for fresh up before having dinner with show hotel's Poolside.Overnight at Sokha Angkor Resort Hotel - Siem Reap.

DAY THREE - Siem Reap/Ho Chi Minh City

Following breakfast and check out, you are transferred to the airport for a morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City K6808 REP-SGN 1135-1310. Upon arrival and following Immigration formalities, a transfer coach will take you to the port and your awaiting ship.

Please note: an extensive amount of walking and climbing steps are required at all sites visited, therefore this tour is unsuitable for guests with limited mobility or those utilising a wheelchair. Lightweight clothing and comfortable shoes are recommended. Because it is still an active place of worship, proper dress is required for the visit to Angkor Wat: no sleeveless blouses or tight tops; skirts must cover knees and trousers must be full length. At some buildings, shoes have to be left at the entrance. The tour sequence may vary in the event of flight changes.
