Tobermory, Coastal Drive and Duart Castle

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately one-hour drive along Mull's beautiful coastline, and a visit to the magnificent Duart Castle. Perched proudly on a clifftop guarding the Sound of Mull, Duart Castle enjoys one of the most spectacular positions on the west coast of Scotland. In 1911, Sir Fitzroy Maclean repurchased and restored the castle, which is now occupied by Sir Lachlan Maclean, 28th chief of the Clan Maclean. Subject to availability, Sir Lachlan Maclean welcomes you to his fabulous, 400-year-old castle and home, which is the clan seat.
