This Land Adventure is a small group luxury tour, providing bespoke cultural and sightseeing experiences. We limit the tour to a small group in order to ensure your experience is a high-quality one. Spots are available on a first come, first serve basis. If the program fills up, you'll be accommodated on a space-available basis. Advanced booking is required at least 90 days prior to sailing date via Silversea Reservations. We suggest booking early to secure your spot(s).
Please be advised that a minimum number of participants is required for this program to run as described. In rare cases when the minimum number of participants is not met, Silversea reserves the right to offer the program at an increased rate based on private arrangements or to cancel your specific departure for a refund. The self-cancellation fee, unless otherwise advised, is 90 days or sooner to initial sailing date at the rate of 100% program fare per person. The payment for your Land Adventure is due in full on the same date as your final payment due for your cruise. Per Silversea's general payment terms, bookings made within 120 days of sailing require full payment within seven days of booking or sooner.
All Land Adventures are non-transferable and non-refundable within 120 days of sailing, with the exception of cancellation by Silversea. Our family-friendly land programs require adult accompaniment of any guests under the age of 18. All Land Adventures are owned by independent contractors, and Silversea makes no representations and assumes no responsibility for the services provided by these operators. Silversea and our local operators make every effort to ensure your land program runs as described. Our local operators reserve the right to modify tour sequence, sites visited and venues mentioned due to operational reasons.

LOCAL CURRENCY:
The local currency is Indonesian Rupiah; however Euros and US dollars are well-accepted by most vendors; local ATMs are available in some locations visited. (There is no shopping stop planned during the program.)
DAY ONE - Tuesday, March 2nd, 2021 - Benoa/Tohpati Village/Goa Gajah Monastery/Balinese House Compound/Tegallalang Rice Terraces/Ubud
Your day will start on the Southern part of the island, and upon the ship arrives you'll be warmly welcomed then proceed and boarding your comfortable motor coach at Benoa Pier.
Starting off from the pier of Benoa, a leisurely morning drive of a 45-minute brings you into the village of Tohpati located on the outskirt of Denpasar to visit Batik Tohpati, well-known for processing exceptional Batik cloth. Here, you'll have a unique opportunity to observe skilled artisans at work as they use the different methods of applying the colors and printing to the fabric. Following your delightful visit, your journey continues on to the small village of Bedulu to visit Goa Gajah Monastery, an ancient Hindu Monastery built in the 11th.century during the reign of one of the most famous Balinese king Udayana who ruled with His Javanese Queen called Mahendradatta. This monastery was discovered in 1923 and excavated in 1954 by the government archaeologist working under the Dutch expert named Krijman. And it was used by both Buddhist and Hindu Monks as well as the king and his descendants as a place for retreat and meditation. After touring an ancient Hindu Monastery ground, re-joining your motor coach and continuing on to the mountainous village of Central Bali called Kintamani, where your lunch will be served and you'll have a good opportunity to overlook to the beautiful scenery of Batur volcano and lake (weather permitted). Kintamani is a small village perched on the rim of a vast crater overlooking Mount Batur. Still active, Mount Batur is the largest caldera in Bali and the district in which it lies is the earliest known Balinese kingdom, dating from the 10th century. Enjoy lunch here at a local restaurant that affords breathtaking views over Mount Batur and glittering Batur Lake ( depends on the weather, because clouds and fogs frequently come to appear even during the dry season due to its high elevation of approximately 1,717 meters above the sea level ). After lunch, re-board your motor coach and proceed to the small village of Sekardadi located nearby Kintamani to visit a typical Balinese House Compound, is the traditional Balinese house complex with several houses building separately set in one house area. The buildings are mostly designed by Balinese architectures taking daily social Balinese life concept pointing out the hospitality. It is very charming concept of house building consisted of several buildings with different purpose of activities. Mostly, the Balinese people house equipped by major house building includes Bale Daja ( building set in the north ), Bale Dangin ( building set in the east ), Bale Delod ( building set in the south ) and a kitchen set in the west. As your tour draws to a close, and before transferring to designated hotel (Maya Ubud Resort) for your accommodations during your valuable holiday on the island of Bali, you'll make your way to the final stop at the Hamlet of Ceking to visit Tegallalang, is a famous and picturesque site for its beautiful scenes of rice - paddies involving the Subak (traditional Balinese co-operative irrigation system). The rice - terraces offers a perfect Bali photo opportunity with its dramatic views. The vistas sprawls down and away to the rice - terraces on the slopes across the valley.
After conclusion of your memorable visit, your motor coach then takes you directly to designated hotel (Maya Ubud Resort) for your accommodations during your valuable holiday on the island of Bali, situated on the edge of Ubud, commencing approximately half an hour drive from Tegallalang Rice Terraces.
Upon arrival at the hotel (Maya Ubud Resort), proceed to the Reception for Registration and Check - In, the remainder of the day is free at leisure until the time for Dinner.
Dinner tonight will be served at the restaurant in the hotel where you are staying (Maya Ubud Resort). Overnight at Maya Ubud Resort.
DAY TWO - Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021 - Ubud/Besakih Mother Temple/Kerta Gosa Old Court of Justice/Benoa
After breakfast, Luggage Collection and Check - Out, proceed to the hotel lobby to meet your Tour Guide to depart for a full-day tour to visit several interesting places located in the Eastern part of the island before transferring to the pier of Benoa to re-join the ship for your onward journey.
Starting off from the Hotel (Maya Ubud Resor), you'll first be transported to the small village located on the slope of Mout Agung the highest mountain o the island of Bali to visit the biggest Hindu temple called Besakih, is revered by all Balinese as the " Mother Temple " of Bali. Originating as a shrine for the worship and pacification of the Gods of great Mt. Agung, Bali's highest volcano. It has developed over the centuries to its present complex which contains nearly 30 full temples complex. As early as the 10th.century it was already a state temple, and the Gelgel Dynasty of rulers carried on this responsibility from the 15th.century on adding a series of small temples in honor of the deified rulers as they passed away. The Provincial Government of Bali now take care of the up - keep of Besakih, and all Balinese look - upon it as the most holy of all holy places on the island of Bali. After touring Besakih temple ground, re-joining your motor coach, and proceed to the Local Restaurant where your lunch will be served. After lunch, as your tour draws to a close, and before transferring to the pier of Benoa, where your ship awaits, you'll make your way to the final stop at the small town in east Bali namely Klungkung or Semarapura to visit Kerta Gosa, an ancient Royal Court of Justice as a symbol of a reminder of the power and glory of this former kingdom. These two stately pavilions in their lotus pond garden at the center of the town of Klungkung, built in the 18th.century at which time they acted as the island's highest court of law. Their fantastic ceiling murals in the traditional "wayang" style of painting depict the punishments in hell for wrong - doers, as well as the rewards in heaven for those who are good and honest in their life - time. Depicting a highly evocative view of the Balinese belief in "karma pala", every action bears fruit, be it good or bad. Judgements were made according to traditional law by three Brahmana high Priest. During Dutch colonial rule the courts were still held here, pronouncing judgement on cases concerning custom and traditional law which could not be settled at the village level.
After conclusion of your memorable visit, your motor coach then brings you directly to the pier of Benoa, commencing approximately one and a half hours drive from the town of Klungkung..
Upon arrival at the pier of Benoa where your ship awaits and re-joining your onward journey, and before starts boarding, please kindly check your personal belonging and any other valuable items, then make sure that nothing left behind in the motor coach.
Please note: This Mid-Voyage Land Adventure requires an extensive amount of walking, at times over uneven, cobblestone, rocky, sandy, grassy, slippery, and natural surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach, and many steps at the sites visited (approximately 190 steps total). This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are encouraged to wear lightweigh clothing with flat, comfortable closed-toe walking shoes and bring from the ship sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and insect repellent. Guests must be at least 21 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. Guests are advised that local traffic conditions may affect the duration of visits. The tour sequence and itinerary may vary. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions. Space on this tour is limited; we suggest you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
