Excursion Patmos rib boat adventure tour at Patmos

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

This full day tour sprints across the Dodecanese on a deluxe RIB, linking Patmos’ rugged coves with the luminous bays of Makronisi, Apronissia, and Tiganakia.

Makronisi, Apronissia islets

Meet at the pier and take a short walk to your rigid-inflatable boat for a safety briefing with the skipper. Cast off along Patmos’ craggy coastline and accelerate across dazzling blue water toward Makronisi, known for its sea caves and glass-clear lagoon hues—an ideal first swim and snorkel directly from the boat. Continue to the Apronissia islets, a cluster of small, unspoiled specks where white pebbles and pale rock frame luminous, shallow pools; enjoy another swim stop in this serene setting.

Tiganakia, Arki, Seaside Lunch

Your route then traces the island group to Tiganakia, where the water shifts to electric-turquoise. Float, snorkel, or relax on deck while taking in the island silhouettes on the horizon. Midday, motor a short distance to Arki and step ashore for an unhurried seaside lunch at a local taverna.

After lunch, reboard the RIB for a final scenic run back toward Patmos, with time for quick photo pauses if conditions allow. Disembark near the harbor and stroll back to the pier, wrapped in sun, salt, and the easy rhythm of the Aegean.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This RIB tour operates on-request basis and can only be confirmed closer to the call. Prior to confirmation, all bookings should be considered as pre-reservations. In the event the RIB is unavailable, the reservation will be canceled and any prepaid amounts fully refunded.

Note

Please Note: This tour involves minimal walking of approximately 0.3 miles (0.5 km) between the meeting point and the RIB, plus maneuvering in and out of the boat and the water; all water access is directly from the boat—beach landings are not included. Access to the RIB requires some agility, as no gangways are available and guests must remove their shoes before boarding. The vessel is open (limited shaded areas) and has no restroom. The tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility, balance concerns, back problems, those who use a wheelchair, or guests who are pregnant or prone to seasickness/motion sickness. Guests should know how to swim and will be asked to sign a waiver. Bring swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, hat, high-SPF sunscreen, sunglasses, and secure deck shoes (no flip-flops). Capacity is typically up to 6 guests. The final route, swim stops, and operation are weather- and sea-condition dependent; the skipper may adjust the itinerary or cancel the tour if necessary. A signed waiver may be required to participate.
