Depart the Soufriere dock for a drive through the historic town of Soufriere to Project Chocolat. Immerse yourself in the experience in this unforgettable experience as you enjoy a tour of the cacao groves and learn about sustainable cacao-growing. Find out how to graft a cacao tree before tasting cacao pulp from a freshly-cut pod. Then, sample chocolate made on the Rabot Estate which is unique to Saint Lucia. Your experience continues as you get set to create your very own chocolate bar. Grind the coco nibs using your mortar and pestle and add your coco butter along with your sugar to create a unique chocolate bar suitable to your taste

Enjoy lunch at the casual Caribbean style Cacao Box while your taste buds come alive with the different flavors of cacao cuisine.  overlooking a UNESCO World Heritage Site – The Pitons.  After your immersive “ cacao” experience, collect your signature chocolate bar  and it is now time to return to your bus for  transfer to the Soufriere dock and vessel.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 350 yards (about 320 metres), at times over uneven, natural and sandy surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the mini-bus and at the Plantation. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with back and/or neck problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection and bottled water from the ship. Guests must be at least 10 years old to participate on this tour. Due to the size of the mini-buses, the seats are smaller and leg room is limited. Guests taller than 6'2” (about 1.7 meters) cannot participate on this tour. Guests weighing more than 250 pounds (113 kilograms) cannot participate on this tour. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions. The tour sequence may vary. Space on this tour is very limited; we suggest you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
