On board your Ape Calessino enjoy a panoramic drive passing by the most interesting and significant monuments that the Eternal City has to offer.

Discover Ancient Rome and the Imperial Forum, the Coliseum, the Arch of Constantine and Circus Maximus. Also enjoy the Capitoline skyline from the Gianicolo Hill and reach the Piazza of the Knights of Malta, where you can browse through the famous "Hole of Rome", Castel Sant'Angelo and Saint Peter's in the Vatican which are only some of the numerous places that you will visit.

At the end of the tour free time is at your disposal at Vatican area for independent lunch, shopping or independent exploration before meeting your tour guide at St. Peter's Square to rejoin the coach for the drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or who utilise a wheelchair. The duration of time riding in the Ape Calessino is approximately 2.5 hours. We suggest you wear comfortable clothing, flat walking shoes and sun protection. If Guests wish to visit St. Peter's Basilica, please note there are approximately 40 steps. Proper attire that covers shoulders and legs must be worn by both men and women in St. Peter's Basilica: mini-skirts, shorts and capri pants are not acceptable. In addition visitors are often required to check large bags, video cameras and bottled water at a desk. You might encounter considerable crowds and lines at St. Peter's Basilica. Be aware that the Basilica might close for security reasons at any given time without advance notice. Please be aware that ongoing restoration work is often being carried out at the various venues visited. Your guide will provide specific instruction on meeting time and place for the return to the ship; it is each guest's responsibility to be at the pre-determined location on time. Guests who do not re-join the coach will be responsible for their independent return transportation to the ship. Please note that due to traffic or local conditions the order of the tour may vary, but always covering the scheduled itinerary. Space on this excursion is extremely limited and we suggest you book early as not to be disappointed. Each Ape Calessino accommodates 3 Guests, and the number of Ape Calessino will be allocated according to the number of Guests participating on this tour, therefore Companions might get separated during the Ape Calessino ride. Due to safety regulations, all Guests participating on this Tour will need to wear a protective helmet while riding the Ape Calessino. Guests must be at least 7 years of age to participate. On Sundays and public holidays the majority of the shops will be closed - only souvenir shops will be open. Lunch is not included in the tour. Should the designed motor coach drop off/pick up point for St. Peters Basilica be congested or unavailable, an alternative drop off/pick up point location will be used. Please note that an additional walking portion of 0.6 miles from / to the alternative location should be considered. Due to new traffic regulations in Rome, big motor coaches have limited access around city center. Therefore, additional walk will be required for guests to access the main venues.
