Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately one-hour drive past some of England's most famous royal palaces and landmarks, including Kensington Palace, home of the late Diana, Princess of Wales; Clarence House, home of the late Queen Mother; St James Palace and Westminster Abbey.
Buckingham Palace
Next, re-board your coach and continue on to Buckingham Palace, the official London residence of Queen Elizabeth II. The Palace was opened to visitors for the first time in 1997, with the intention of raising money to fund the restoration of Windsor Castle, badly damaged by fire in 1992. The restoration, now complete, cost nearly £40 million.
