Next, re-board your coach and continue on to Buckingham Palace, the official London residence of Queen Elizabeth II. The Palace was opened to visitors for the first time in 1997, with the intention of raising money to fund the restoration of Windsor Castle, badly damaged by fire in 1992. The restoration, now complete, cost nearly £40 million.

Many of the State Rooms have been in continuous use since their conception, and many of the works of art are displayed in the rooms for which they were originally intended. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately one-hour drive back to the pier.
