Excursion Skagen by bike tour at Skagen

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Experience the scenic beauty and sights of Skagen in a unique new way during this invigorating, half-day sightseeing excursion via bicycle.

Skagen, Heath, Dunes and Grenen Viewpoint

Receive your safety instructions, helmet and bicycle, then depart the pier for your guided bicycle tour through the village of Skagen and its surrounds. Along the way, pass by yellow-painted houses with white fences and red roofs, then traverse the heath and dunes en route to the Grenen Viewpoint, which is located on a peninsula between the Baltic Sea and North Sea.   Arriving at the Skagen Gren view point, we will leave the bikes behind and walk through dunes and sand to the very top of Denmark - where you will be able to stand in two seas at the same time.

Buried Church and Old Town

Next, your route continues through the scenic landscape. A refreshment stop is made before heading to the 13th-century Buried Church to view its ruins, which have fallen prey to the drifting dunes. Today, only the original spire remains standing as the dunes grow bigger and bigger. After your photo stop, ride back to Skagen via the Old Town, then commence the short transfer back to the pier.
