Skagway, Bike Shoppe, E-Bike Instruction & Guided Tour

Depart the pier for the short drive to the bike shoppe. Upon arrival, meet your guide and receive your e-biking safety briefing and instructions on how to use the controller, gears, brakes, etc., along with your safety helmet, gloves, and raingear. Afterward, hop on your pedal-assisted e-bike and begin the cycling portion of your guided tour. Your approximately 90-minute e-bike-ride takes place on mostly paved surfaces, with some gravel sections and inclines, and is suitable for all riders with a moderate level of fitness. Although pedalling is required, e-bikes are provided to assist with pedalling, and a great way to stretch your legs but not feel like you’ve spent the entire day on a bicycle.

Gold Rush Cemetery, Forests, Waterfalls, Dyea Road, Your Ship, Valleys

After getting oriented with your e-bike, begin your guided e-bike excursion with a ride through the heart of Skagway to the Gold Rush Cemetery. Upon arrival, park your bike for a short walk through the Tongass National Forest to Lower Reid Falls. Following an exquisite view and photo opportunity at this majestic waterfall, walk back to your e-bike and ride up Dyea Road. A stop is made here for an incredible panoramic view overlooking Skagway and your ship docked in the Lynn Canal, and an opportunity to learn about the glaciers that carved this valley.

Mount Harding, Harding Glacier, Optional Shopping & Exploration

During the return-ride, take in wonderful vistas of majestic Mount Harding and the Harding Glacier. Your unforgettable e-bike adventure concludes back at the bike shoppe in the middle of Skagway. Upon arrival, return your e-bike, helmet, gloves, and raingear. Afterward, you can re-board your coach for the short drive back to the pier, or opt to remain in town for independent shopping and exploration, then return to the pier on your own.
