Each August, the streets of Tokushima make way for Japan’s most iconic dance festival. Awa Odori celebrates centuries of traditional folk dance through a gripping showcase of mesmerizing movements, rhythmic chants, and timeless technique. As taiko drums and shamisen melodies fill the air, elite troupes gather to perform intricate routines passed down and perfected through generations.

Note: Distance is approximately 1 hour(18km) drive from the pier to the Pacific Harbor Hotel. From the venue to the seating area there will an approximately a 15 minutes walk. Shuttle buses will transfer guests from the venue to the ship, starting at 19:00. During the summer months, Japan experiences very hot and humid weather. Guests are strongly advised to wear light, comfortable clothing and supportive footwear.

Please Note: This tour involves approximately 0.62 miles (1 km) of walking over mostly flat terrain, with several steps at select venues. The experience also includes an extended driving segment of approximately 60 minutes to reach the Pacific Harbor where dinner will be serve. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility; wheelchair users must be able to negotiate steps independently. During the summer months, Japan experiences very hot and humid weather. Guests are strongly advised to wear light, comfortable clothing and supportive footwear. Japanese yen is required for any purchases; guests are strongly advised to exchange currency at the airport prior to the cruise.
