Bay of Kotor

Depart the pier by minibus and glide across the magnificent Bay of Kotor. Enjoy sweeping views of medieval waterfront towns, elegant stone palaces and dramatic mountain scenery rising directly from the sea. Your scenic drive continue inland towards the tranquil Castelnuovo hinterland. As you leave the coastline behind, the landscape transforms into rolling hills, olive groves and traditional rural homes.

Family Estate Welcome

Arrive at a charming family-owned homestead, located along an uphill village road. You are welcomed with a traditional toast of local brandy and homemade doughnuts before being introduced to generations of family tradition. Your hosts share stories of rural life, organic cultivation and time-honoured culinary practices.

Organic Garden and Farmhouse Feast

Visit the estate’s organic garden, where seasonal produce is grown using natural methods. Guests may have the opportunity to pick fresh ingredients directly from the garden, depending on availability.

A lunch is then served, featuring local specialities such as soup of the day, homemade prosciutto, smoked and fresh cheeses, pickled vegetables, cheese pie, roast pork or veal, fruit pie, accompanied by a glass of local wine and water. The meal reflects the authenticity and simplicity of Montenegro’s countryside cuisine.

After time to relax, dine and converse with your hosts, transfer back to Kotor.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.3 miles (about 500 metres), including uphill terrain and a few steps at the family estate. The village road is uphill and guests must be able to walk independently. Surfaces may be uneven at times. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or guests who utilise a wheelchair. The speedboat is partly covered and does not have restroom facilities. A signed waiver is required for participation. Comfortable, flat, closed-toe walking shoes are recommended; high-heeled shoes are not permitted. Guests must be at least 8 years old to participate. The tour sequence may vary.
