See Rio from the air via cable car, with unforgettable views from Sugar Loaf mountain. Depart from the pier and drive for approximately 30 minutes towards downtown Rio. Downtown is the business center of Rio, where colonial Rio meets modern skyscrapers.

You will see Rio's aqueduct and stop at the Monastery of St. Benedict, a Benedictine abbey located on the Morro de São Bento (St. Benedict Hill) in downtown Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Mannerist-style church is a primary example of Portuguese colonial architecture in Rio and the country. The church is the most beautiful church in Rio de Janeiro and one of the main monuments of the Portuguese-Brazilian Baroque.

Drive through the Flamengo Park, from where you have a privileged view of the highlight of this tour, the Sugar Loaf. From Morro da Urca, take a cable car to visit the summit of the famous Sugar Loaf Mountain, standing at 1,200 feet (.37km) high. Enjoy the chance to overlook the city of Rio de Janeiro that is considered one of the most spectacular views in the world.


Make the return trip back to Morro da Urca via cable car, and drive approximately 30 minutes back to the pier.

Please note: This excursion involves 15 to 20 minutes of walking in each direction over uneven terrain as well as some stairs, and standing in the different venues and cable car,making this tour unsuitable for guests with limited mobility. Light clothing and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Option for helicopter ride may be available for return trip down the mountain. Order of sites visited may be adjusted.
