Explore the splendid, Old World beauty and history of Bornholm during this picturesque, half-day sightseeing excursion to Svaneke.

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive across Bornholm en route to Svaneke, the most beautiful and historic town on the island. Upon arrival, take a guided walking tour through this charming fishing village. As you stroll along the twisting and turning streets between the old stone fences, pass by lovely cliff gardens and see well-preserved, half-timbered houses situated in the cliffs above the harbour. A flood of galleries, glassblowers, potters and artisans, some of them with open workshops, make Svaneke something unique and special. Between the harbour and marketplace, along the old groove of Brænderigænget, pass by Glastorvet. Here, a number of craftsmen have created a common artistic oasis where ideas and creations flow freely.

Svaneke Brewhouse

Next, a visit is made to the Svaneke Brewhouse, located in one of Svaneke's historical trading posts.During visit, taste some of their local brews, while listening to explanations about their methods and background, from one of their brewing specialists

Bornholm Landscape, Almindingen Island and Forest, and Rytterknaegten

Leaving the brewery, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier. En route, traverse the Bornholm landscape and pass by one of Denmark's biggest forests, which is located in the middle of Almindingen Island. Here, the highest point on the island, Rytterknaegten, rises approximately 531 feet (about 162 metres) above sea level.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.6 miles (about one kilometre), at times over uneven and cobblestone surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair.
