Nawiliwili, Kauai, Waimea Canyon, Waimea Valley State Park Lookout, Gorge & Ocean Views

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 75-minute drive to the famous Waimea Canyon, the 'Grand Canyon of the Pacific' and most popular attraction on Kauai. Upon arrival, ascend to the Waimea Valley State Park Lookout, approximately 3,400 feet (about 1036 metres) above sea level. Here, enjoy spectacular panoramic vistas and photo opportunities overlooking the deep gorge and surrounding countryside. The way the reds and browns of Waimea Canyon's volcanic rock contrast with the green hues of the lush, tropical vegetation and deep blue of the Pacific are truly awe-inspiring, and not to be missed.

Waimea Town, Shopping, Spouting Horn, Blowhole, Koloa Town

Next, re-board your coach and head for a shopping stop in Waimea Town, to browse for souvenirs or purchase a snack at your own expense. Afterward, proceed for a visit to Kauai's famous blowhole, the Spouting Horn, where waves crashing against the lava rock can funnel spray as high as 50 feet (about 15 metres). After a stop here to watch this blowhole in action, re-board your coach and commence the short drive back to the pier via Koloa Town.
