Palermo & Palermo Medieval Quarter

Start your tour by meeting your tour guide accessible van at the Palermo cruise dock. From here, you will head out on a short drive to the heart of Palermo. Escorted by your tour guide, you will explore the charming Medieval quarter of Palermo firsthand. You will see the stunning Palermo Cathedral, and some of the best-preserved examples of Byzantine architecture and artwork in Europe.

Conca d'Oro Valley, Monreale Cathedral

After exploring Palermo, your tour continues with a short scenic drive along the slopes of Conca d'Oro Valley, known for its picturesque landscape dominated by orange, olive and almond trees. At the slope of Monte Caputo, you will arrive to your second stop of the day, the village of Monreale. Here, your tour guide will be taking you on a memorable city stroll to experience some of the most impressive sites of the town, including the Norman-Byzantine Monreale Cathedral, which has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was built between 1170 and 1189 and it is one of the most magnificent churches in the world.

Afterwards, start the 40-minute drive back to the ship.
