Discover Centuries of Heritage Amid Coastal Splendour

Embrace the essence of Zadar on a half-day journey that blends history, nature, and flavour.

Depart the pier for a scenic 30-minute drive to the Nin Salt Works, where salt has been harvested for centuries using only the sun, sea, and wind. Revered for its ecological and therapeutic qualities, Nin salt is produced in harmony with nature. Stroll through the Salt Museum to admire historic photographs, traditional tools, and wagons once used to transport this precious mineral. Interactive exhibits, a scale model of the reserve, and a short documentary offer deeper insight into this timeless craft.

Continue along the Adriatic coast to the Royal Vineyards, perched on rocky hillsides overlooking the sea. Here, a guided walk reveals how the unique microclimate and stony soil create exceptional wines. Conclude your visit with a tasting of select vintages in this idyllic setting.

Return to Zadar’s Old Town for a guided stroll through its storied streets. Marvel at the Cathedral of St. Anastasia, Dalmatia’s largest church and a Romanesque masterpiece, before visiting the ninth-century Church of St. Donatus, a monumental circular structure built upon Roman foundations. Admire St. Mary’s Church, with its twelfth-century bell tower, and soak in the city’s rich architectural tapestry.

Enjoy some leisure time to explore the Old Town at your own pace before returning to the pier.
