Explore the glory of ancient Greece and delve into its rich history with this three night adventure tour from Athens. Visit numerous UNESCO'S World Heritage sites including the ancient site of Olympia where the first Olympic Games were held and mythical Delphi an archaeological site known as 'the navel of the world'.
Day 1 - ATHENS/ OLYMPIA
Disembark your Silversea cruise, and are met by a local representative to start your tour of Classical Greece. Your first stop is at the Corinth Canal. When the canal was first constructed it was intended for large number of boats to pass through the Isthmus, however the canal's base is a mere 70 ft wide, making it impassable for most modern ships.
Your tour continues with a drive to Epidaurus to visit the ancient theatre. Test out the near perfect acoustics that can be heard to over 14,000 spectators.
Travel by coach through the plain of Argos and arrive at Mycenae and visit the Tomb of Agamemnon. Constructed during the Bronze Age around 1250BC, historians believe the tombs were actually built before Atreus or Agamemnon ruled, as many stones date back to before their reign.
Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant before ending the day in Olympia, better known as the birthplace of the Olympic Games.
Check-in to the hotel. Guests will have a short time to freshen up before dinner will be served at the hotel.

Day 2 - OLYMPIA/ DELPHI
After breakfast at the hotel, check-out and visit the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia followed by a visit to the Olympia Archaeological museum. The site was primarily dedicated to Zeus and drew visitors from all over Greece. The Olympic Games were held at this site every four years starting from the 8th century BC and continuing on for decades which helped build and shape Greece into the nation it is today.
Enjoy lunch this afternoon in Olympia at a local restaurant.
The day's tour ends as you check-in to the hotel in Delphi. Dinner is included this evening at the hotel.
Overnight at the Nafsika Palace - Delphi
Day 3 - DELPHI/ ATHENS
Breakfast is provided at the hotel before exploring the ancient archaeological site of Delphi. Occupation of the site can be traced back to the Neolithic period.
Visit the Temple of Apollo and Sanctuary of Athena with some areas at the site dating back to the Neolithic era.
Afterwards take a guided tour of the Delphi Museum before enjoying lunch at a local restaurant. Return back to Athens where dinner will be provided at the hotel.
Overnight at the Atheneaum Intercontinental Hotel - Athens
Day 4 - ATHENS
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and some leisure time before your Silversea representative coordinates your transfer to the airport for your flight home.
