Depart the pier and travel approximately 15 miles south of Belfast into the historic countryside of County Down to experience the rich history of Irish Whiskey in the county. Located in the drumlins of one of Irelands most beautiful and historic counties, Hinch Distillery sits on Killaney Estate. You will walk your way through the history of Whiskey making on these Islands, the production practices and techniques used at Hinch. This will be rounded off with a tasting of their award-winning whiskeys in Hinch's atmospheric tasting bar.

Hinch Distillery

This state-of-the-art distillery has been custom built to produce very particular styles of Irish Single Malt Whiskey. It uses water from the nearby Mourne Mountains, traditional Irish mashing processes and it is proud to incorporate the renowned Irish history of triple distillation. After your guided tour of the distillery enjoy a Premium whiskey tasting sampling four tastes of whiskey (Small Batch Bourbon Cask, 5-Year-Old Double Wood, 10-Year-Old Sherry Cask Finish and Single Peated Malt).

Following your tour of Hinch Distillery board your coach to travel through some of Co. Down's finest countryside to meet the coastline again in Donaghadee travelling through the Victorian seaside town of Bangor and returning to your awaiting ship.

Please note: This tour involves a minimal amount of walking, at times over uneven and gravel surfaces, with some steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. Warm, comfortable clothing, a waterproof jacket, flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Guests must be at least 18 years old to take part in the whiskey tasting.
