Excursion Aalborg city highlights tour at Aalborg

This tour will take you to meet the "Aalborgenser" (citizens of Aalborg) as well as their lovely city.
Historical town center, Walking tour
Leaving the pier you will shortly be in the heart of Aalborg. You guide will take you on a stroll, passing some of the city's landmarks, such as Jens Bangs Stonehouse from 1624, which is Aalborg best-preserved historic building and Budolfi Cathedral, dating back to around 1400. The stroll will conclude with an inside visit, to the vaulted rooms of The Monastery of The Holy Ghost.
The allotment garden
Leaving city center we will pass the former "Aalborg Spritfabrik" (liquor distillery) from 1881, before we will arrive to something typical Danish, The allotment garden. Here you will meet Helen, the owner, and have a change to see her lovely place. During the visit you will be able to taste the lovely Aalborg Aquavit.
Gug Church
Gug Church is in the southern outskirts of Aalborg. This remarkable and modern church was designed by architects Inger & Johannes Exner in 1972 and brings many of a surprise to the visitor. The rostrum is made from newspapers, the altar is made from concrete plus much more.
Top floor of "Hvide Hus"
Back on the coach, we wil drive to the top floor of "Hvide Hus". Raised above the skyline of Aalborg, you get to try the traditional Danish specialty: Pastry. Enjoy the tasty Danish with a cup of coffee of tea, while enjoying the spectacular view of Aalborg from above, with all its diversity and of course the lovely waterfront with a peek to the Aalborg Royal Cruise Berth.
A panoramic drive of approx. 25 minutes will take you back to pier.
