Excursion Aquarando canyoning tour at Deshaies

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive to Pointe-Noire. Upon arrival, take a short, guided hike through the northern part of the beautiful rainforest of Guadalupe Island and along the Grande Plaine River at Pointe-Noire en route to Aqua Rando Canyon. During your short hike, learn about the surrounding rainforest, the seventh National Park of France.

Aqua Rando Canyon, Riverbed Jumping, Slipping, and Sliding, Acomat Waterfall, Swimming

Upon arrival at Aqua Rando Canyon, receive your canyoning equipment and instructions, then descend into the riverbed with an exhilarating series of jumps and slides, all in a lush, tropical setting. The highlight of this exciting experience is a plunge into the green waters of Acomat, an approximately 50-foot-high (about 15-metre-high) waterfall, where you can also take a refreshing swim. At the conclusion of your hiking and canyoning excursion, return on-foot to the starting point of your hike, then re-board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of activity and an extensive amount of walking for approximately 1.86 miles (about three kilometres), at times over uneven, grassy, slippery, and natural surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and 20 steps at the venue. This tour is recommended for active guests in good physical condition. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with back and/or neck problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests with a fear of heights, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, sturdy, and closed-toe walking or hiking shoes, and bring sun protection, a towel, change-of-clothing, insect repellent, bottled water, and Euros and/or credit cards for purchases from the ship; high heels and sandals are not permitted. Canyoning equipment (dry suits, a waterproof box and specialised backpack) are provided. Guests must be at least seven years old to participate on this tour and use to practice this activity. A signed waiver is required to participate on this tour. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions. The tour sequence may vary. Space on this tour is very limited; we suggest you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
