Excursion Ásbyrgi canyon: a walking journey through nature's enchantment tour at Húsavík

Tour the majestic Ásbyrgi canyon on foot - upon entering the Ásbyrgi canyon begin your walk from a campsite towards Eyjan, a beautiful basalt rock formation, also known as the "Island." At 250 meters wide, the cliff is divided in the center of Ásbyrgi, and its location provides an incredible view of the magnificent canyon. After taking some time to appreciate the view, begin your descent back to the vehicle to transfer to another part of the canyon, and then head back to the ship.

Please note: This tour requires a moderate amount of walking over rough gravel surfaces with various steps and inclines to navigate and guests must be able to keep up with the guide; this tour is unsuitable for those with walking difficulties. Clothing appropriate to local weather and comfortable walking or hiking shoes are recommended. The driving time to Askyrgi is about 45 minutes, and about 45 minutes to return to the ship.
