Excursion Atacama coastal walk tour at Arica

Take an unforgettable hike along the Atacama Desert coast. Depart the pier and travel 25 minutes down the scenic coastal road. Arrive to the coastal area of Anzota to begin your walking tour. Most of the walk is done on the sidewalls of these sandy mountains, walking through some fascinating caverns.

Trek to the endpoint at the Puntilla, where sea lions may be seen from short distance as well as many local birds. After spending some time at this point to rest, take some pictures and breathe the ocean air, make the return trek to the coach to travel to your next destination.

At the Morro de Arica viewpoint enjoy a panoramic view of the city, ocean and port. The Morro de Arica was an important place for the Chilean military during the War of the Pacific. You may visit its little museum if desired.

Return to the pier, or take the option to be dropped off at the main entrance of the port area. Note that guests must be in good physical condition to participate on this tour.
