Excursion Banda naira tour at Bandanaira

Visit Banda Naira, home to incredible traditions, history and an original source of spices.
The tour begins with a visit to the Museum of Rumah Budaya to see a collection of Dutch artifacts and historical photographs, next on to the Old Church which build by Mr. Pieter Both, Dutch Governor in 1611. On the way to the church stop to visit the house of Captain Christopher Cole (the captain of British Marines) who captured Belgica fort and the Island of Naira.
Head to the Dutch fortress of Benteng Nassau, still standing from the year of 1608, and see the mini palace and the statue of William III along with the ex-office of VOC and Hatta house. Afterwards visit "the Perigi Rante" monument where Mr. Jan Pieter Zoen Coen, the governor of Hindia Belanda, killed the rich people of Banda Island, because he wants to take over their nutmeg plantations.
Continue to at last see the historic Belgica Fort, followed by a tour of a working nutmeg plantation. Taste nutmeg jam on a cinnamon cake, enjoying it with a cup of tea or coffee. On return to port there is an opportunity to visit a local market where souvenirs are available to purchase.
