Excursion Barbados nature & crafts tour at Bridgetown
Cruise line: SilverseaDifficulty:
A scenic drive will take you Earthworks Pottery.
Earthworks Pottery
Established in 1983 by Goldie Spieler, Earthworks is now run by her son David, along with the capable Earthworks staff of 24 persons. They produce red clay ceramic pieces fired to stoneware temperatures that make it ideal for the home or restaurant.
You will find all kind of shapes and sizes and many different patterns. Best of all you can watch the team create those pieces right in front of your eyes as you are free to roam the workshop.
Potter's House, Batik Studio
Right next door you can also find the Potter's House with the On The Wall Gallery where some of the best local art is on display or you can visit the Batik Studio to view their hand made batiks.
Coco Hill Agro Forest
From here you will make your way across the heart of the country to your next stop Coco Hill Agro Forest. Here you will take a walk through the forest and learn all about the plants, fruit and vegetable that grow in this unique setting. The scenery is breath-taking and the walk very refreshing.
Your return drive will take you back through the countryside passing many friendly villagers.
