Scenic Drive to Brgy. Concepcion

Depart the port and enjoy a 2 hour scenic drive through the lush countryside of Puerto Princesa en route to the rural village of Concepcion. Along the way, observe local life and the island’s verdant landscapes before arriving at the trek jump-off point.

Jungle Trek to Batak Village

After a short briefing, set off on a guided trek through forested terrain toward the Batak community. The approximately one-hour walk takes you along hilly trails, with sections of uneven ground and river crossings, immersing you in the sights and sounds of the tropical wilderness.

Batak Indigenous Cultural Immersion

Upon reaching the village, be warmly welcomed for an intimate cultural exchange with the Batak people. This is a rare opportunity to connect with a community that continues to preserve its ancestral traditions and deep relationship with nature.

Return Trek and Lunch

Following the immersion, retrace your steps back along the forest trail to the jump-off point, once again crossing rivers and navigating natural terrain. Reboard your vehicle and continue to a local restaurant for a well-deserved lunch, where you can relax and reflect on your experience.

Return to Port

After lunch, enjoy a comfortable drive back to Puerto Princesa Port, bringing your day of discovery and connection to a close.

It includes approximately two hours of trekking over hilly and uneven terrain, as well as river crossings that may involve getting wet. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or those who utilise a wheelchair. Guests should be comfortable walking long distances on natural trails and navigating uneven surfaces. Lightweight, comfortable clothing suitable for hiking is recommended, along with sturdy trekking shoes appropriate for wet and uneven conditions. Guests are advised to bring insect repellent, sun protection, and an extra set of clothes in case of river crossings.Participation is subject to weather conditions.
