Scenic Drive to Ljubljana & Walking Tour

Depart the pier for the scenic, 1.5-hour drive to Ljubljana.  Upon arrival, begin your 1-hour guided walking tour of this historic city. Along the way, marvel at all five millenniums of Ljubljana's history. Highlights include the remains of the Roman 'Emona', a glorious medieval castle, numerous old city squares with Baroque buildings boasting uneven rooftops, richly-decorated façades and portals, and the vast Tivoli Park, which extends to the city centre. From here, continue past the Triple Bridge, Prešeren Square, Open-Air Market, medieval Town Hall, Baroque-style Robba's Fountain, and many other hidden architectural gems.

Time at Your Leisure

Following your walking tour, approximately 2-hour free time is made available for independent exploration, lunch and browsing the many market stalls and shops.

At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 1.5-hour drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of walking and standing for approximately 1 mile (1.6 kilometres), with a few stairs to negotiate to get on/off the coach and embark/disembark the boat. Walking in the city centre is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. The total time spent in Ljubljana is approximately 3 hours. Lightweight, comfortable clothing, flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. The tour sequence may vary.
