Excursion Capri, the enchanted isle tour at Naples

On the southern edge of the Gulf of Naples lies the Island of Capri, often called the "Island of Dreams." Roman emperors Augustus and Tiberius found peace and beauty here, as have the many celebrities who have visited the island. When you see Capri's impressive cliffs and brightly coloured villas during this full-day excursion, you will understand the island's universal appeal.

Meet your guide on the pier and make your way to the hydrofoil terminal where you will board a hydrofoil or a ferry to commence a scenic cruise to the beautiful "Blue Island" of Capri. On arrival in Capri's Marina Grande, join your minibus for the ride to the upper village of Anacapri. The drive is via a winding road, which allows you to enjoy magnificent views of the island and of the nearby gulf.

Anacapri

Upon arrival in Anacapri, enjoy a short stroll with your guide to the main square where you will have the option to choose between visiting Villa San Michele or taking the chairlift to Monte Solaro, the highest point on the island loved by Emperor Augustus. You can also browse the shops or explore the town and its attractions during your free time. Afterwards, you'll re-board the minibus for a brief drive to the beautiful Capri Town.

Capri Town

Feel free to explore the town on your own or, if you wish, you can continue with the guide and join the visit to the Augustus Gardens. From the park's spectacular vantage point, you can view the Marina Piccola and the legendary Faraglioni rocks, three enormous rocks that protrude from the blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

After your visit to the gardens, you will have approximately two hours to independently enjoy sites such as the famous shopping street of Via Camerelle or wander through the central square, known as the Piazzetta.

Ample time is made available for lunch in one of the hotels or seaside cafes (al fresco dining is recommended).

Re-join your minibus and transfer to the Marina Grande where you will board the hydrofoil for the return to Naples. Upon arrival you have but a short walk back to your ship.
