Excursion Catamaran adventure tour at Port Louis

An unforgettable experience by discovering the West coast of the island on board a catamaran.  

Tamarin Bay and Crystal Rock

After an approx 1 hour transfer to the jetty, embark on the catamaran to explore the coves and stunning lagoons where dolphins are often seen. In the calm blue waters of the West, complete relaxation awaits. This catamaran cruise is a perfect reflection of the West Coast of Mauritius and its reputation: laid back, sun drenched, wonderfully idle. Setting off from Black River, make your way to Tamarin Bay in search of bottle-nosed or spinner dolphins. With a bit of luck, they’ll be there, and their cheeky leaps and moving songs will be truly unforgettable. Then head for some snorkeling to play with lionfish or trumpet-fish near the famous ‘Crystal Rock’, a giant clam shaped coral, rising out of the turquoise lagoon.

Benitiers Island and Lunch

Dropping anchor in the lagoon of Bénitiers Island, enjoy a nice Barbecue lunch while marveling at the panoramic view of the Black River mountain range. After lunch, a tender boat is at your disposal for those who would like to go on Île aux Bénitiers, measuring just 2 kilometres by 500 metres.

Unlimited drinks will be served on board throughout the trip. Non-alcoholic drinks not allowed prior to swimming and snorkelling.

We should be back in Black River at around 3:30pm to catch the coach to return to the ship.

Note

Please note: This tour involves a minimal amount of walking and a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the catamaran. This tour is suitable for guests with limited mobility but not those who utilise a wheelchair. Lightweight comfortable clothing, and flat, closed-toe walking shoes are recommended. Guests are advised to wear their swimsuit under a coverup and bring the beach towel from the ship. Guests must be able to swim to participate in this tour. Snorkeling vest and snorkeling mask are provided on the catamaran. Guests must be at least 21 years old to consume alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic drinks not allowed prior to swimming and snorkeling. Wildlife sightings not guaranteed.
