Your leisurely sightseeing cruise begins with breathtaking views of coastline clad in rugged cliff faces, beautiful hillside homes, and serene bays and beaches. Approaching the remnants of Plymouth – once the island’s capital, now its "Buried City" – a scene of astonishing volcanic devastation takes over the landscape. Rooftops peeking out from beneath mountains of ash and pyroclastic flows in the distance serve as haunting reminders of the catastrophic power of Mother Nature. As you sip the complimentary beverages served onboard, your survivor/guide provides a compelling before-and-after narrative that helps you grasp what it was truly like to live through that extraordinary day. The small group size allows for easy question-asking and discussion.

Please note: This easy excursion involves travelling by speedboat and walking over paved and unpaved surfaces for brief distances. It is not suitable for guests who utilise a wheelchair or have limited mobility and is not recommended for those with back, neck, knee or hip ailments or prone to seasickness or vertigo. Maximum passenger weight is 265 lbs. A waiver must be signed to participate. Wear cool, comfortable clothes and walking shoes; bring your preferred sun protection.
