Rosenholm Castle

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 45-minute drive to the Rosenholm Castle. Upon arrival, take a guided tour of this beautiful, four-winged Renaissance-style castle. The Rosenholm Castle has been with the Rosenkrantz family since its construction in 1559; this noble family was immortalised in Shakespeare's 'Hamlet'.

Ebeltoft & Town Hall

Next, re-board your coach and head to Ebeltoft, a small, immaculate old town with cobblestone streets, old houses and a night watchman to check that all is well. The Town Hall was built in 1789, and is the smallest, unaltered town hall in Denmark. Your guide will take on a stroll explaining some history of the town.

Free Time in Ebeltoft and Mols Bjerge

Following your guided tour, some free time is made available to explore Ebeltoft at your leisure, and browse the small shops brimming with local handicrafts and souvenirs. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 55-minute drive back to the pier. En route, drive through scenic Mols Bjerge, a hilly region dating from before the 14th century, with cairns and grave mounds from prehistoric times scattered over the hills.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.6 miles (about one kilometre), at times over cobblestone surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and 50 steps at Rosenholm Castle. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, a light jacket or sweater, and raingear.
